Shayne Smith

Shayne Smith at Spokane Comedy Club

Shayne Smith builds comedy from the kind of stories most people keep to themselves. His raw, story-driven approach turns personal chaos into absurdist narrative that connects because the starting point feels honest. He launched his stand-up career in 2014 and quickly earned recognition, including runner-up in Wiseguys' 2015 "Funniest Person in Utah" contest. Five specials followed between 2018 and 2025, each exploring a different angle of his perspective. On Friday, November 6, 2026, at 7:00 PM, he performs at Spokane Comedy Club with material that rewards fans of comics who commit to the bit.

Smith's comedy lives in the unexpected details. Prison for Wizards, Alligator Boys, The Animal, Banned from Karate, and most recently Ghosts Are Real give you a sense of where his mind goes when left unsupervised. Those titles aren't accidents; they reflect a comic who finds the strange angle in ordinary situations. A Friday show gives you something to anticipate all week, and an excuse to leave the house for laughter instead of routine.

Bring the friend who appreciates a good story. Smith's approach suits listeners who want more than setup-punchline rhythm—who enjoy watching a narrative unfold and wondering where it's headed. A shared evening of stand-up creates its own conversation on the way home, with moments you'll reference long after the show ends.
