Spokane Chiefs vs. Seattle Thunderbirds

Spokane Chiefs vs. Seattle Thunderbirds at Numerica Veterans Arena

Junior hockey moves fast. The Western Hockey League puts speed, skill and physical play on display every night, with Spokane and Seattle sharing the ice for this matchup. Sunday, January 24, 2027, at 5:05 PM, the Chiefs host the Thunderbirds at Numerica Veterans Arena. If you prefer your sports live, with shifts that change momentum in seconds, this is the game to attend.

The 2026–27 regular season features sixty-eight games per team, which means every matchup counts toward standings. A single goal can shift the outcome, and one penalty kill or power play can define the night. Watching that unfold in person gives you the full picture: line changes, bench energy and the pace that television edits cannot quite capture.

Take the friend who checks the WHL schedule before making weekend plans. A Sunday evening game fits neatly into the end of the weekend, with no need to stay out late. You get home at a reasonable hour, with a live game behind you instead of another screen in front of you.

Check ticket options for Spokane Chiefs versus Seattle Thunderbirds and put a Sunday night of junior hockey on your January calendar.
