About Avista Stadium
Avista Stadium is the home of Spokane Indians minor-league baseball at the Spokane County Interstate Fairgrounds. Its official visitor address is 602 N. Havana Street, Spokane Valley. The stadium opened in 1958 as Fairground Recreational Park for a Dodgers affiliate and has been part of the region’s baseball history ever since. Today the Indians are a High-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, with game-day seating, concessions and family activities organized around the ballpark.

Plan Your Visit to Avista Stadium
Where is the stadium, and where do I park?
Use the Havana Street address rather than a downtown Spokane destination. General parking is free, while paid Premier Parking is a separate option. Follow the team’s current instructions for access to the appropriate parking area.
Gates normally open one hour before the game. Leave time for the walk from the fairgrounds parking area and bag inspection before finding your section.
How should I choose seats?
Use the official stadium map or linked 3D seating map to compare sections. The ballpark has changed over time, with improvements including box seats, picnic areas and other group spaces. A historical capacity figure is not a substitute for the current ticket map.
Check whether your admission is for a particular row and seat, a bench area or a group location. For accessible seating or a companion arrangement, contact the Spokane Indians office rather than inferring an accessible route from a map image alone.
What can I bring through the gates?
Clear bags up to 12 by 12 by 6 inches are allowed, along with specified small clutches and manufactured diaper bags. All approved bags are checked. Sealed plastic water bottles are permitted; other outside food and drinks are prohibited.
The team permits re-entry with a stamp obtained before leaving. Its visitor guide describes a cashless payment transition in 2026, accepting major cards and mobile payment. Check the current policy before your game.
What food options are available?
The stadium’s concession information includes burgers, hot dogs and other ballpark food, alongside specialty options. The team publishes a concessions map and a gluten-free item list. Use those current resources if a dietary requirement affects your plans.
A group or hospitality ticket may include different food arrangements from a regular seat. Read the package description and confirm what is included rather than assuming that access to a named area covers refreshments.
Why is Avista Stadium part of Spokane’s baseball history?
The stadium was built in less than three months for the 1958 season, when the Dodgers’ Pacific Coast League affiliate moved to Spokane. Its first game was played on April 29, 1958. Later improvements added hospitality areas, a press box and additional box seating.
The team’s history reaches further back than this building. Spokane’s minor-league clubs played at other grounds before the fairgrounds stadium opened. The current Rockies affiliation and High-A program belong to a later chapter than the original Triple-A Dodgers era.
Where can I get help during a game?
The Information Booth is outside the Team Store and handles visitor questions and lost-and-found assistance. Ask a team member for first-aid help. For family restroom directions, contact the Information Booth.
Before bringing a young child, check the current ticket rule and whether a separate seat is needed. Keep the section, row and a meeting point available for everyone in your party.
