Candlelight: 90s Hip Hop on Strings

Candlelight: 90s Hip Hop on Strings at Falls Penthouse at Riverside Place

The Fugees. Outkast. Missy Elliott. Wu-Tang Clan. A Tribe Called Quest. The beats that shaped a generation, performed by a live string quartet and lit by a thousand candles. Candlelight: 90s Hip Hop on Strings brings those anthems to Falls Penthouse at Riverside Place on Saturday, January 23, 2027, at 7:30 PM. If you remember when these songs first hit, or if you discovered them years later and still can't shake them, this is a chance to hear them reimagined in a completely different setting.

Watching a string ensemble translate the energy of 90s hip-hop into something acoustic and intimate gives you a new way to connect with songs you already know. The familiar rhythms and rhymes take on a different texture when candles replace stage lights and the only sound comes from live musicians in the room with you.

Bring someone who knows every word to Ready to Die or who can still rap along with Lauryn Hill. This is a shared memory made new, an evening that gives you both something to talk about long after the last candle goes out. The concert runs sixty minutes, with assigned seating and no late entry, so plan to arrive when doors open forty-five minutes early.
