Chamber Soiree

Chamber Soiree at The Davenport Grand

If hearing string players working together in close quarters makes music feel more intentional, Chamber Soirée at The Davenport Grand might be worth your Wednesday evening. The Spokane Symphony sets small ensembles in a room built for elegance, not stadium seats. On April 14, 2027, at 7:30 PM, you'll hear Ravel, Handel-Halvorsen, Stravinsky and contemporary works performed by musicians who've chosen their favorite pieces. The selection gives you familiar composers and a few names you might not know yet.

Table seating includes wine and light fare from the Davenport kitchen, making this a full evening rather than just a concert. Gallery seating focuses on the music itself. Either option puts you in the kind of setting where you notice details: the way a quartet navigates Ravel's rhythms, how Roxanna Panufnik's Heartfelt shifts the mood. Chamber music rewards attention, and this format gives you the space to listen without distraction.

Choose someone who wants to dress up a little and make midweek feel special. Or take yourself out for an evening that treats listening as the main event. The program mixes string quartets with Stravinsky's L'Histoire du Soldat Suite, giving the night variety without losing its intimacy.
