Gianmarco Soresi at Martin Woldson Theatre At The Fox

Gianmarco Soresi finds comedy in the things most of us spend too much energy worrying about. Society's unspoken rules. The absurd expectations we place on ourselves. The darker thoughts we pretend we don't have. He blends upbeat energy with those darker comedic beats, creating a rhythm that keeps audiences engaged. On Friday, May 14, 2027, at 7:00 PM, The Misery Loves tour arrives at Martin Woldson Theatre At The Fox in Spokane. If you appreciate a comic who can make anxiety feel entertaining, this is a Friday plan worth making.

Soresi's debut special Thief of Joy pulled over three million views in its first two months on YouTube. The New York Times called it superb. The New York Post named it the best debut special of 2025. Those numbers suggest an audience who wanted more than a short clip. Watching someone command a stage for a full set is different from catching highlights online. You get the build, the callbacks, the moments that only work when you're present for the entire arc.

Take someone who appreciates comedy that leans into discomfort rather than avoiding it. A partner who enjoys dissecting a bit afterward. A friend who follows stand-up the way other people follow sports. Sharing the experience gives you both material to reference long after the show ends.

Or claim the night for yourself. A Friday comedy show can be the reason you leave work stress behind and focus on something designed to make you laugh. Soresi's animated stage presence and sharp observations offer a full evening of stand-up from a comic building a devoted following.
