John Craigie & The Bones of J.R. Jones

John Craigie & The Bones of J.R. Jones at Knitting Factory Spokane

John Craigie writes songs that sound like someone confiding a thought they've been carrying around for years. His work invites you in quietly, without spectacle or swagger, and rewards the listener willing to lean forward. On Wednesday, January 27, 2027, at 8:00 PM, he brings that sincerity to Knitting Factory Spokane, joined by The Bones of J.R. Jones. For fans who prefer their music grounded in storytelling rather than production gloss, this bill offers two voices worth your attention.

Craigie's upcoming album I Swam Here blends the musical history of New Orleans with the quiet sounds of the Pacific Northwest, recorded with handpicked musicians including Sam Doores of The Deslondes. NPR describes his songs as breezy and vibey, wrapping around you like a blanket. If you've spent years chasing that kind of warmth in recorded music, this live date gives you a chance to hear where that aesthetic lands in a room.

Two artists mean two perspectives, two sets of material, and a better chance one of them becomes your next musical obsession. Bring the friend who sends you album recommendations at midnight, or the partner who understands why a Wednesday concert can redeem an otherwise ordinary week. A midweek show needs less planning than a Friday date and offers the same reward: live music that reminds you why you still care about songwriting.

Check ticket options for John Craigie and The Bones of J.R. Jones and give yourself a reason to leave the house in January. This Wednesday plan puts sincerity and storytelling on your calendar, no elaborate occasion required.
