Start with the Friday–Sunday concert selection

The weekend selector groups concerts by day, making it easier to fit music around work, travel or another event. It uses Spokane’s date, and a show drops out once its verified start has passed. You can see what remains ahead without mistaking a Friday performance for an option on Sunday night.

Treat the selection as a starting point rather than a complete census of every musician playing in town. Touring concerts, recurring jazz and community performances can have different calendars. If a day has no card, use the local music resources below or explore concerts on other dates.

What kind of concert do you want?

A familiar artist is one way to choose, but the performance format matters too. An acoustic booking can put your attention on a voice and arrangement; a band show offers the interplay between musicians; an electronic performance takes you toward a producer’s or DJ’s sound. Read the actual billing rather than guessing the format from the building.

The Spokane Symphony offers another set of choices. Masterworks focuses on classical orchestral repertoire, while Pops uses the orchestra in popular genres. Smaller, musician-curated Chamber Soirées can take place beyond The Fox. Our Symphony concert guide explains those differences if you want to try orchestral music this weekend.

Listen before choosing your next outing

Hear regional instrumental rock through KSPS PBS’s Inland Sessions. This studio performance is music discovery, separate from this weekend’s bookings.

Choose your ticket’s layout, then your venue

Knitting Factory Spokane is at 919 W Sprague Avenue. General admission standing is common there, with a separate 21-plus reserved-table option at some performances. That distinction matters if one person in your group wants a seat or cannot enter an age-restricted section.

For a Symphony outing, use the Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox guide for the orchestra’s home at 1001 W Sprague. Still check the selected performance’s venue: a Symphony event away from The Fox is a different destination. A theater name alone also does not establish which organization is performing.

Looking beyond touring concert dates

Emma Rue’s live-music page lists Thursday jazz and a Friday DJ slot with DJ Rosethrow at 17 S Howard Street. For a weekend visit, the Friday listing is a useful lead: confirm the particular date, performer and entry arrangements directly with the venue. The Thursday jazz slot belongs to a different evening, even when you are planning a longer visit.

You can also discover regional players through KSPS PBS’s Inland Sessions. The studio recordings let you try unfamiliar music before choosing another outing. A recorded appearance is a listening resource, though; it does not mean the artist is booked in Spokane this weekend.

Make one plan that works for your group

If you are choosing between shows, ask each person for one priority: the artist, a seated ticket, an earlier finish, or an age-access requirement. This gives you something concrete to compare. It is easier to find a shared choice than to assume everyone wants the same kind of concert.

At Knitting Factory, most events welcome all ages, but individual exceptions appear on the ticket listing. The 21-plus table designation is separate from general admission. Our all-ages music guide covers that difference and other options for groups that include younger listeners.

Turn a weekend choice into a booked night

Once a concert catches your attention, open its event page and check the exact date, venue and ticket section. A general-admission ticket and a reserved seat should be compared as different experiences. For a group, confirm that the selected quantity and seating arrangement work together before completing an order.

Questions, answered

Does an empty weekend listing mean there is no live music?

No. It means no matching upcoming concert appears in these listings for that day. Recurring venue music and community programs may use separate calendars. Details ↗

Can a younger fan attend a Knitting Factory show?

Most shows welcome all ages, but exceptions are event-specific. Check the exact ticket listing and remember that reserved tables are 21-plus. Details ↗

Are all Spokane Symphony concerts at The Fox?

The Fox is the orchestra’s home, but some concerts, including smaller chamber programs, take place elsewhere. Use the selected performance’s venue. Details ↗
