Spokane Symphony: Fairy Tales and Fables

Spokane Symphony: Fairy Tales and Fables at Martin Woldson Theatre At The Fox

Spokane Symphony's Fairy Tales and Fables gives you a reason to introduce a five-year-old to the Fox. The Family Concert Series designs this afternoon for children ages 5–12, pairing orchestral music with stories they already know. On Sunday, January 24, 2027, at 2:00 PM, the Martin Woldson Theatre at The Fox becomes a destination for young listeners whose attention span lasts exactly as long as the story does.

Doors open at 1:00 PM for a reason. The lobby fills with crafts, games and an instrument petting zoo before the performance begins. That early hour transforms the visit into more than a concert. Your child investigates a violin up close, tries a drum, finishes a project. By the time the music starts, the room already feels familiar.

The program draws from Frozen, The Nutcracker and other works children recognize from the screen. Spokane Elite Dance and local musicians join the orchestra. Music, dancing and storytelling layer into one afternoon. If you've been waiting for the right entry point to live performance with a young listener, this show removes the guesswork.

Bring the child who asks to hear the same song ten times in a row. Their persistence tells you they're ready for this. Explore tickets for Spokane Symphony: Fairy Tales and Fables and reserve a Sunday afternoon for a first orchestral memory.
