Spokane Symphony: James Lowe - Masterworks & Mimosa

Spokane Symphony: James Lowe - Masterworks & Mimosa at Martin Woldson Theatre At The Fox

Classical music without the formality. Spokane Symphony opens the rehearsal room for Masterworks & Mimosas on Saturday, February 27, 2027, at 10:00 AM. You'll see Music Director James Lowe work through Celebrating Sibelius with the full orchestra, pausing to refine passages and shape the interpretation. This isn't a polished performance. It's the process that leads to one, with coffee, pastries and a mimosa included.

Most people never step inside a working rehearsal. Lowe might stop mid-phrase to adjust dynamics or balance. The orchestra tries a section again. You hear the difference each decision makes. For anyone curious about how musicians prepare rather than just what they deliver, this format offers a window most concert halls keep closed.

At Martin Woldson Theatre at the Fox, the morning setting offers a different route into the repertoire. Coffee, pastries and a mimosa accompany the rehearsal format. Come for the familiar music, stay curious about the choices behind it, and hear how separate instrumental parts become a shared interpretation.

Bring someone who's never been to a symphony. The rehearsal setting strips away the pressure to sit quietly and simply absorb. You'll both leave with a clearer sense of what goes into the music. Check ticket options for Spokane Symphony's Masterworks & Mimosas and claim a Saturday morning that offers something different.
