Spokane Symphony: James Lowe - Masterworks & Mimosa

Spokane Symphony: James Lowe - Masterworks & Mimosa at Martin Woldson Theatre At The Fox

Most concert audiences hear the polished version. This rehearsal lets you watch Music Director James Lowe and the Spokane Symphony prepare a Masterworks program, mistakes and all. Musicians stop, restart, discuss phrasing and work through details most listeners never see. On Saturday, May 8, 2027, at 10:00 AM, Martin Woldson Theatre at The Fox opens its doors for the kind of behind-the-scenes access rehearsals rarely offer.

The setting is informal. Coffee, pastries and a mimosa arrive with your ticket, making this a working brunch as much as a performance. You hear the same repertoire the evening audience will experience, but the mood differs. Lowe and the orchestra focus on precision, not applause. For anyone curious about how professional musicians prepare, this format gives you a front-row education.

Bring someone who enjoys classical music but rarely makes room for it in a busy schedule. A Saturday morning concert requires less commitment than an evening out, and the casual atmosphere makes it easier to relax into the experience. If you've never attended a symphony rehearsal before, this offers a low-pressure introduction to the repertoire and the work behind it.
