Spokane Symphony: James Lowe - The Sea

Spokane Symphony: James Lowe - The Sea at Martin Woldson Theatre At The Fox

The ocean holds your attention because it never stops changing. One moment it's calm, reflecting light. The next, it's violent and overwhelming. Spokane Symphony's The Sea brings that feeling into the concert hall on Sunday, February 7, 2027, at 3:00 PM. Bax's Tintagel rises from Cornish cliffs in waves of myth. Debussy's La Mer moves through morning light, sudden storms and endless mystery. If orchestral music can make you feel something vast and unpredictable, this program delivers.

Principal Percussionist Leigh Wilson takes center stage for Jennifer Higdon's Percussion Concerto. Watching a musician you know from the section step into the spotlight changes how you listen. The concerto is electrifying, and Wilson's command of the performance gives the afternoon a different kind of energy.

Bring someone who loves live music but doesn't always make time for it. A Sunday matinée at the Martin Woldson Theatre at The Fox fits into a weekend without overtaking it. You have the rest of the day to talk about what you heard, or simply enjoy the quiet that follows an afternoon of sound. Check ticket options for Spokane Symphony and make space for The Sea.
