Spokane Symphony: Star Wars vs. Star Trek

Spokane Symphony: Star Wars vs. Star Trek at Martin Woldson Theatre At The Fox

John Williams or Michael Giacchino. The Force or the final frontier. The Spokane Symphony turns Saturday, March 13, 2027, into a live orchestral face-off between Star Wars and Star Trek at Martin Woldson Theatre At The Fox. Doors open at 6:30 PM; the performance begins at 7:30 PM. If you've ever defended your favorite space saga in a friendly argument, here's your chance to hear both sides make their case through a full orchestra.

Film scores carry weight when performed live. The familiar themes hit differently in a concert hall, surrounded by other listeners who know every note. Williams's iconic Star Wars motifs and Giacchino's thrilling Trek compositions weren't written for headphones—they were composed for scale, drama, and emotional impact. A symphony delivers all three.

Bring the friend who still hasn't forgiven you for your allegiance. Or take someone who loves both universes and refuses to pick a winner. The evening gives you a shared experience worth debating long after the final note fades. You'll leave with fresh ammunition for the argument—or a renewed appreciation for the music that defined generations of storytelling.
