Spokane Symphony: The Princess Bride - Film With Live Orchestra

Spokane Symphony: The Princess Bride - Film With Live Orchestra at Martin Woldson Theatre At The Fox

True love. Sword fights. Rodents of unusual size. The Princess Bride gave an entire generation quotes they still drop into conversation decades later. On Saturday, February 13, 2027, at 7:30 PM, the Spokane Symphony performs the complete musical score live while the film plays at Martin Woldson Theatre at The Fox. Conductor Morihiko Nakahara leads the orchestra through every moment, turning a movie you already love into something you haven't experienced before.

Watching at home means hitting pause, scrolling during slow scenes, letting familiarity dull the edges. A live orchestra changes that equation. Musicians respond to the film in real time, adding weight to the Fire Swamp and tenderness to Buttercup's theme. The score becomes a performance, not a soundtrack. You notice details you've missed through a dozen rewatches.

Bring the person who can quote Inigo Montoya without prompting. A partner who insisted you watch it on your third date. The friend who dressed as Westley one Halloween. Shared nostalgia makes a better evening when you're both noticing the same musical moments. This film shaped how a lot of people think about fairy tales; hearing it performed live gives that affection somewhere new to land.
