Beauty and The Beast

Beauty and The Beast at First Interstate Center for the Arts

A cursed prince. A captive daughter. A love story that breaks the spell. Beauty and the Beast arrives at First Interstate Center for the Arts on Tuesday, January 12, 2027, at 7:00 PM, marking Disney's first North American touring production of this musical in over twenty-five years. The story delivers the romance and emotional stakes audiences already love, now staged with spectacular new sets and costumes that give the familiar tale fresh visual life.

The songs matter here. Composer Alan Menken and lyricist Tim Rice reunite to deliver the Oscar-winning, Tony-nominated score that includes "Be Our Guest" and the title song. Hearing those pieces performed live, with a full ensemble and orchestra, gives the music weight and presence that a screen cannot replicate. Director and choreographer Matt West, alongside the original Tony-winning design team, shapes this production into something worth experiencing in person.

Bring someone who grew up with this story or introduce a young theater fan to a Broadway production designed to fill a venue with wonder. The show runs two and a half hours with one intermission, giving everyone time to settle into the tale and its characters. Musical theater thrives on shared attention, and a Tuesday evening offers a midweek reason to gather.
