Beauty and The Beast

Beauty and The Beast at First Interstate Center for the Arts

A rose under glass. A castle full of enchanted objects. A story about seeing past the surface to what matters. Disney's Beauty and the Beast arrives at First Interstate Center for the Arts in Spokane on Wednesday, January 13, 2027, at 7:00 PM, in its first North American tour in over 25 years. If you grew up with this tale or you're introducing it to someone new, the stage production brings something screens cannot: scale, craft and the presence of performers telling the story a few rows away.

The show carries the Oscar-winning and Tony-nominated score, with songs like "Be Our Guest" and "Beauty and the Beast" that most audiences already know by heart. Hearing them performed live by a full company gives familiar material fresh weight. Alan Menken, Tim Rice and Linda Woolverton reunite as part of the creative team, joined by direction and choreography from Matt West. This production features new sets and costumes designed to fill a theater with the grandeur the story requires.

Make it an evening with a daughter, a partner, a friend who remembers the animated film. Shared nostalgia becomes a reason to leave the house, especially when it's paired with live performance rather than a rewatch. A Wednesday show in January gives you a midweek reason to dress up, step out and spend a few hours immersed in something other than your routine.

Disney on Broadway suggests this production for ages six and up, and all guests need a ticket. Expect a runtime of two and a half hours with one intermission. Check ticket options for Beauty and the Beast and plan an evening of romance, spectacle and the kind of musical theater that reminds you why live performance still matters.
