Beauty and The Beast

Beauty and The Beast at First Interstate Center for the Arts

You know the story. You know the songs. The question is whether a touring production can honor that emotional connection or whether it's safer to keep the memory perfect. Disney's first North American tour of Beauty and the Beast in over 25 years answers by investing in new sets, new costumes and a production design that treats the material as if audiences have been waiting. If you fell for this tale the first time around, Saturday, January 16, 2027, at 7:30 PM at First Interstate Center for the Arts in Spokane gives you a reason to fall again.

The creative team reunites members of the original Tony Award-winning group: composer Alan Menken, lyricist Tim Rice, book writer Linda Woolverton. Director and choreographer Matt West leads the staging. That continuity matters when a show depends on romance, grandeur and songs like "Be Our Guest" and "Beauty and the Beast" landing with the warmth audiences expect. The tour doesn't rewrite the story. It deepens the spectacle around it.

Bring the person who sang along in the car, or the child old enough to sit through two and a half hours of theater and young enough to believe a rose can hold magic. Disney recommends the show for ages six and up. That makes this a family outing with staying power, not background noise. Everyone leaves with a ticket stub and a version of the night they'll remember differently.

Or take yourself and let the production do the work. Some stories earn a second look when the staging shifts and the distance between your last visit and this one becomes part of the experience. Check ticket options for Beauty and the Beast in Spokane and see what 25 years of waiting built.
