Beauty and The Beast

Beauty and The Beast at First Interstate Center for the Arts

A castle. A curse. A girl who sees past appearances to find something worth caring about. Beauty and the Beast carries a story that holds up long after childhood, paired with songs you probably remember even if you haven't heard them in years. Disney's first North American touring production in over 25 years comes to First Interstate Center for the Arts in Spokane on Saturday, January 16, 2027, at 2:00 PM. This touring revival brings new sets and costumes to a musical that many families have been waiting to share with someone who hasn't seen it live.

The Oscar-winning and Tony-nominated score includes "Be Our Guest" and the title song, plus the rest of Alan Menken and Tim Rice's work. Hearing them performed live offers something different from pressing play at home: voices filling the room, an orchestra in the pit and the build of a full production around material you already care about. If you've introduced someone to the movie, attending the stage version becomes a natural next step.

A Saturday afternoon performance gives you time to plan around the show. Meet for lunch, arrive together and still have your evening free. The 2:00 PM start works for families balancing schedules and for anyone who wants to make theater the center of their day without keeping a child up late. Disney on Broadway recommends the production for ages six and up, with a running time of two and a half hours including intermission.

Bring the person who knows all the lyrics, or the one who's never seen the musical onstage. Either way, you're offering them a production designed to deliver romance, grandeur and the Disney magic the story promises. Check ticket options for Beauty and the Beast and plan your Saturday around a tale as old as time.
