International Ballet Stars: Alice in Wonderland

International Ballet Stars: Alice in Wonderland at First Interstate Center for the Arts

Alice in Wonderland gets a visual overload. International Ballet Stars brings Lewis Carroll's story to First Interstate Center for the Arts on Saturday, May 1, 2027, at 7:00 PM, paired with sets and costumes designed by pop art icon Romero Britto. His bold, colorful work has appeared in over 100 countries and collaborated with Disney, Coca-Cola, and global events like the FIFA World Cup. This production doesn't whisper. It announces itself with vivid design that changes how a classic tale looks on stage.

Dancers from numerous countries bring an international range of training to the production. Artistic director Artem Yachmennikov previously danced with San Francisco Ballet and Dutch National Ballet. Claude Debussy's music accompanies the choreography across two acts, with a running time of two hours and fifteen minutes including a twenty-minute intermission. The music, dance and Britto's visual designs give you several artistic threads to follow.

Recommended for ages three and up, this production bridges the gap between a children's story and a sophisticated theatrical event. Adults get design, music, and international dance talent. Kids get color, characters, and a world that holds their attention. A Saturday evening show gives families time to plan around it without rushing through the day.

Take someone who appreciates live performance that goes beyond the expected. A parent, a partner, a friend who enjoys theater: each might find a different reason to remember the evening.
