Spokane Symphony: The Nutcracker With The State Street Ballet

Spokane Symphony: The Nutcracker With The State Street Ballet at Martin Woldson Theatre At The Fox

Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker score played live by the Spokane Symphony changes what a holiday performance can be. The music doesn't accompany the dancing; it fills the theater, making every scene feel bigger and more immediate. Saturday, December 5, 2026, at 7:30 PM, the Martin Woldson Theatre at The Fox becomes the place where this production unfolds. If you've only seen recorded versions, hearing the orchestra in person gives the entire evening a different weight.

State Street Ballet leads the performance, joined by over 90 local dancers from Spokane. That blend of professional company and community talent makes this production distinctive. You're watching trained dancers share the stage with neighbors, students and dedicated performers from your own area. It's a reminder that big productions can have roots close to home.

Bring the person who makes holiday plans with you every year. Or take someone who's never seen The Nutcracker live and give them a reason to understand why it remains Spokane's favorite seasonal tradition. The familiarity of the story paired with live music offers enough for longtime fans and first-timers alike.

This is the kind of evening that anchors December. Check ticket options for The Nutcracker with the Spokane Symphony and State Street Ballet, and put a live performance on your holiday calendar.
