Mrs. Doubtfire - The Musical

Mrs. Doubtfire - The Musical at First Interstate Center for the Arts

An out-of-work actor transforms himself into a Scottish nanny to spend time with his kids. That premise launched one beloved film and now powers a musical that critics call "wonderful, heart-warming, and laugh-out-loud funny." Mrs. Doubtfire arrives at First Interstate Center for the Arts on Tuesday, February 2, 2027, at 7:00 PM, blending comedy with the genuine emotion of a parent doing whatever it takes. If you remember laughing at the movie, this Spokane performance offers a chance to revisit that story with live actors, costumes and songs.

Musical theater adds layers the film never could. Songs let characters say what dialogue only hinted at, and watching someone perform a transformation live in front of you creates a different kind of suspense. The production runs two hours and thirty minutes with a twenty-minute intermission, giving younger audience members a natural break and older fans time to settle into the story's rhythm.

Bring the people who still quote lines from the original. A parent who showed you the movie years ago might enjoy seeing it reimagined on stage, while kids aged eight and up can discover the chaos for the first time. Sharing a story across generations turns a Tuesday evening into something your family will talk about long after the curtain falls.

The Chicago Tribune calls it "the lovable, big-hearted musical comedy we need right now." If that sounds like your kind of night, check ticket options for Mrs. Doubtfire in Spokane and make space for laughter and a little bit of heart.
